Homage to parents, source of noble grace,
Countless lives and ages cannot repay.
From childhood days, with errors I’ve made,
Now grown, yet still I fall short in filial ways.
The debt of flesh, of blood, of mother’s milk so deep,
Nine months of bearing, the labor you bore and keep.
Homage to parents, boundless is your care,
A nectar stream, bathing the life I bear.
Countless worries and perils, you endured
Impurities and hardships, you patiently bore.
Swallowing bitterness, the sour grief, the shame,
O Mother, your whole life you gave to sustain.
