Spring has come – a moment of excitement and joy in the hearts of youth, a moment of peace and quiet of the elders, and a feeling of melancholy mixed with longing from the children away from home!

The words “Spring comes” are short but bring a rush of memories, of love, and of flower markets full of laughter, embellished with fresh flowers, rustic but no less beautiful, gracing the spring sunrays; of small children in colorful new clothes, brimming with wishes for a happier new age and collecting red envelopes. Whole families of multiple generations gather around broiling Chưng Cake. There are spring trips and temple visits to receive good luck and pray for a happy new year.

Spring is so close but also so far away for those of us away from the homeland, because of longing for the yellow apricot blossom, the red fireworks, and the warmth of a spring day.

Seeking to bring a spring of the homeland into this new land, we are pleased to organize the event “Spring Blossom Festival” from January 13 to January 15, 2023 at Huong Dao temple. The festival includes many tasty and healthy foods, drinks and unique exhibitions and performances.

Of particular note, the Spring Blossom Festival will be hosted on the 14-acre site of the future Dhammacetiya complex, The Ancient Sacred Buddhist Scripture Stupas.
