A powerful magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck Myanmar on March 27, 2025, causing widespread destruction, loss of life, and severe damage to buildings and infrastructure. Tremors were also felt as far as Bangkok, Thailand, where a high-rise collapse killed and trapped multiple people.
