❤️ An Overwhelming Welcome to Richmond, VA – Day 99 – 2/1/2026
Thank you so much for the incredible welcome we received as we walked into Richmond, Virginia today. After we left our lunch stop and headed toward our night stop, in just a 4-mile stretch of road, we saw hundreds—if not thousands—of people come out to welcome us along the roadsides.
The sheer number of people lining the streets, holding signs, waving, offering flowers, bowing with respect, cheering with joy—it was overwhelming in the most beautiful way.
We felt so welcomed. We felt so warm. In those 4 miles, we felt like we were coming home.
Thank you, Richmond. Thank you for opening your hearts so wide.
