The Ancient Sacred Buddhist Scripture Stupas (Dhammacetiya) project was proposed by Bhikkhu Paññākāra Tuệ Nhân. He also leads and manages the project, with the approval and support of his teacher, the abbot of Hương Đạo Buddhist Temple.

The project was formally introduced on Vesak Day of 2022 at Hương Đạo Buddhist Temple. Before an audience of 180 Venerable Monks, Nuns, and over 2,000 guests, Bhikkhu Paññākāra Tuệ Nhân made a great vow: “If this Great Sacred Landmark is not finished within my lifetime due to the shortcomings of my merits, I pledge to come back through the cycle of rebirths to continue the unfinished construction to its successful completion.”

People in attendance rejoiced and expressed their approval with resounding praises of “Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!”

After this momentous occasion, a project advisory board consisting of the Venerable Elders from Buddhist countries was convened and established.

Bhikkhu Paññākāra Tuệ Nhân embarked on a walking Dhutanga (austere) journey in 2022-2023, dedicated to fortifying the merit and aspiration, forging a collective karmic bond with people, to join together in building the Ancient Sacred Buddhist Scripture Stupas (Dhammacetiya).
