During our daily interactions, emotions like frustration, anger, or fear often arise, prompting us to react immediately by expressing them through words, gestures, or actions in order to alleviate the tension, hot temper, and rage that build up within us. However, due to ignorance, we fail to recognize these states properly and allow them to dissipate. Through practice, we learn to accurately acknowledge these emotions at the right moment, leading them to transform from tension to ease, from hot temper to calmness, and as a result, the urge to express unpleasant feelings through words and actions naturally diminishes. Mindfully observing the arising of these mental and physical phenomena can gradually reduce our external reactions and minimize unwholesome actions of body, speech, and mind.
