As we approach the Year of The Cat, I sincerely wish that Venerable monks and nuns, religious leaders, leaders of community organizations, press, as well as fellow countrymen and Buddhists a New Year filled with peace and that all your wishes will be fulfilled.
On this occasion of the Lunar New Year (the traditional festival of our culture), Hương Đạo Buddhist Temple jubilantly hosts the Spring Welcoming events, which will include a Spring Blossom Festival, a celebration welcoming the New Year, Dragon dance, a Vegetarian food court and shops, musical performances and a celebration of the First Full Moon Day.

Lunar New Year’s Eve (Saturday, 1/21/2023) at the Construction Site for Dhammacetiya - 10:00 AM – Vegetarian food court and shops, Buddhist art exhibition, Bonsai show, exotic tropical fruits and plants (10 AM – 2 AM the next day)
- 10:30 AM – Thanksgiving to Deities
- 11:00 AM – Food offering to the Sangha
- 07:00 PM – Prayer for Repentance
- 10:30 PM – Light offering to all sentient, Paritta Chanting for Blessings
- 11:30 PM – Three rounds of Paññā drum strikes/Lunar New Year’s Eve , Dragon Dance, Well Wishing Chanting, New Year Wishes and offering of lucky token, Support vegetarian food court.
