Day 4 of Walk For Peace – The Path of Endurance
At dawn, the monks began their day with chanting and meditation — an offering of peace to the world. As the sun rose, the monks set forth once again from Hillsboro, Texas, walking twelve miles through the stillness of the countryside. Each mile was a lesson in presence — each breath a reminder of impermanence.
After a brief midday pause for a simple meal, the practitioners continued another twelve miles, embodying the middle way between effort and ease. By dusk, they reached West, Texas, where they concluded the day’s journey in reflection and gratitude. Their path that day stretched far, but the true distance traveled was inward — toward deeper compassion and understanding.
🌅 As they settled into the quiet of night, the pilgrims looked toward the horizon — knowing that the next sunrise would bring new ground, new lessons, and another opportunity to walk in peace for all beings.
