Age 12 – Most Venerable Cong Sophan Rakkhitak Dhammo attending schooling at the Temple of Koush Jonlous with grand master Hip Yin.
Age 18 – He entered the monk hood under the grand master Hip Yin in the Temple of Koush Jonlous teaching.
Age 21 – Completion of monk training, in the presence of Samdech JOTHIGNANO CHUON- NATH, the chief monk, as the Upachaya, he invited Vachi Panhna Huot-Kat and Preah Moha Vimal Thom Moeng-Ses to be the patron saint in the Seima system of Wat Ounalom, Phnom Penh.
Age 45 – Samdech Preah Sangkhareach Chuon-Nath sent Venerable Kong Sophan to preach Theravada Buddhism in Kampuchea Krom.
Age 60 – Arrived in the United States on June 23, 1982.
He has great achievements for society and religion, including building pagoda, temple and Buddha statues.
In the field of Buddhism, he was eager to build a pagoda in Cambodia, Vietnam, India and The United State of America. He was the founding chairman member to build a Cambodian Buddhist Temple in India along with Tong Hao and Preah Moha Puy Metta Mean, an Indian Buddhist monk, Kes Vesali, Savathy, Kosinara, Lumpini, and the royal family. He also collaborated with Master Hok Sovann from Canada to build the site of the Enlightenment Buddha Center in Kien Svay District, Kandal Province, Cambodia. The construction of a pagoda in Buddhism (India) and the Enlightenment in Kien Svay (Cambodia) are all expressions of the great gratitude of our Master Load Buddha Siddhartha Gautama, who has sworn the Dharma. 84,000 Dhammakans that are allowing Buddhists monks and lays people to respect and practice the elimination of lust, paving the way to Nirvana.
